How to install drivers on a fresh install of Windows 8.1

Hi,
I have just done a fresh install of Windows on my PC and I can't install any of the software drivers as I also need to install network drivers. I can't use the disks as my PC doesn't have a disk drive.

Help?

Whatever the mobo is download them from the site. 8.1 should have installed LAN and maybe wireless drivers

You should do it all beforehand, but I usually use a spare laptop or whatever you have lying around.

I have a Asus ROG Maximus VII Ranger. Should I download the driver for that MoBo on a seperate PC then install it on my PC and then go to Device Manager and update and install all other drivers from there?

Also, how do I install a driver from a USB?

Generally, drivers are just an .exe compressed inside a .zip file. Just download what you need, put it on the USB, then plug the USB into your PC, and install.

People think its cool to not have an optical drive nowadays. Until they are in your position.

I suggest buying an optical drive so that your computer can become a little bit more than a massive paperweight.

Depends. If it has an exe file you have to run it. If its got an inf file you can install it thru device manager

Chipset, if Windows install LAN and audio use those. You dont need AI suite, it'll probably crash anyway

Depends whats on the mobo on what you install

Look in device manager the ones that dont install may have a ? beside it

Depends what drivers windows installs and whats on your mobo. Whatever is missing you do the above and see what they are
