Newly built PC

CPU: 4790k
GPU: gtx750ti
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX 1866(8GB)
MOBO MSI Gaming z97 3

I got windows installed after correctly putting the ram in the correct duel channel slots but then I lost video and now it just boots loops with no post, even with 1 stick of ram installed it boots but still no video with either integrated or the graphics card

Solution
The Hyper X Fury should be fine, they run off of PnP and are compatible (if MSI has the BIOS ready them). PnP is a supported feature of Intel chipsets going back to the P67. What PSU? If neither stick works it's probably not the DRAM, do you have or could you borrow a different stick of DRAM?

I am having the exact same issue. My build is almost the same
CPU: i5-4690k
GPU: gtx960
MOBO: msi gaming z97 3
RAM: 2X Kingston Hyperx 1866(8gb)

if you check the msi website you will not find this RAM under the compatibility list. I believe that this may be the issue.I have already rebuilt my computer piece by piece trying to find the problem. I have my system down to only CPU, RAM(i've tried every possible combination in the DIMM slots), and HDD, and it will still not boot. As soon as the windows logo appears, it crashes.

It was working for about a day, then I got the BSOD with a Machine_Check_Exception. Was this the case for you as well?

just swapped out the ram, to discover that the issue persists. I have also tried a different psu, and a different hdd to do a fresh install. reset the CMOS, and set BIOS back to the factory original. Dont really know what else to do except trying a new mobo.

I discovered the issue, one of my sticks of RAM was defective and therefore causing the problem amazon replaced it quite and it works fine now.
