How to get enough power to a 3.0 powered HDD from a single USB 2.0 slot?

Hi,
Problem is as in title, I have one 3.0 500GB Toshiba HDD and I want to connect it to a single USB 2.0 slot. However, when I do this, the disk will stop and start again every 5 to 20 seconds with a hearable beep playing when it happens. Also to note that the light on top when connected to a USB 2.0 port is white but when connected to a 3.0 USB port it is blue (white probably signaling lack of power).
This is to connect to my wii U so USB drivers, OS and updates are kinda irrelevant but Im not here to ask for Wii U help, all I want is some kind of hardware to bring more power to the drive all while letting it be plugged in that 2.0 slot in the console.
Thanks.

you sure this'll work and it's not just giving enough power while it assumes that the port you connect the hub to is a 3.0?

edit: you're right I checked it actually works with a 2.0 hub, thanks. I dont know why I didnt think of it on my own.
