Upgrading my Graphics card from ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

Hi all,
can someone please advise me on what I can chose for the outdated rig below to replace the currently not working Graphics card ATI Radeon HD 5700. I honestly have no clue.

windows 7 64 bit, processor AMD athlon II x2 250 , 8mb RAM, power supply 550 W.

I used to have the same processor as you.

Anyways, I would go for an NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti or an AMD R7 260X. I ran the 260X with my build and it was fine. Depending on the brand of your PSU you might need a new one but if it is a good brand you should be fin as these cards are not power hogs.
