Hey guys!

I'm having a problem with my computer where it starts up and then shuts down again after a few seconds.

*** Specs ***
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-6200 6-Core
CPU Cooling: Corsair H60 Hydroseries
PSU: Cooler Master GX 750W
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston DDR3 HyperX
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX670

The computer boots BIOS and then shuts down after a few seconds. The time it takes to shut down is shorter if I just tried turning it on and longer if the computer has been sitting for a while.
I've checked every wire and screw to see if nothing is shorting out the motherboard.
The PSU, RAM and GPU have all been tested on a different motherboard and works fine.
I've tried removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and rebooting and the problem still persists. Do any of you have any idea of troubleshooting before I buy a new motherboard and CPU?
Thanks in advance

*** Edit - Forgot my CPU cooling in specs

** Update - Switched MOBO and CPU and it runs smoothly. I'm guessing the CPU got fried at some point

Solution
Make sure the CPU fan cable is fully seated in the proper mobo header.

Might be temperature related, check the thermal paste for your CPU, see if it looks good, and reapply it with a rice grain sized dab after removing the old paste with 99% (or so) rubbing alcohol carefully, and reattaching your heatsink.

Test out your PSU. Try another one if you have one.

CPU power cable(s) might not be plugged in?

Also worthy to determine what's at fault, unplug everything except a monitor (preferably connected to your mobo) and see if you can get into BIOS. No hdd, one stick of RAM, no drives, no graphics if you have a video out on your mobo, etc.

Thanks for the reply!

Reapplied thermal paste today after cleaning both the CPU and the heatsink

Test out your PSU. Try another one if you have one.
I don't have another PSU to test, but the one I am using has been used on a different mobo and CPU setup and I had no problems with it.

Everything is connected perfectly

Have tried running with only monitor, still the same problem.

Could the problem lie with the CPU cooler? After the shutting on and off I felt the tubes and the tube going from the CPU to the radiator is really hot while the other tube is quite cool. Any way I can test if the pump is working correctly?
