Hello, I would like to upgrade my PC components as I will later want to play 4k, do some O.C and so on...
The PC, will be mainly used for max settings gaming, and later on 4k.
So far, I'm upgrading my CPU + the cooler. (I7 4790K + Noctua NH-D15), I need a motherboard for O.C and that CPU. I will also want 16GB ram.
This is what will stay in my PC:
GPU (GTX 980TI), Case (Phanteks- Enthoo Pro) and PSU (Corsair Rm750)
As I said, I will later on try to play 4k so the motherboard would need to be future-proof, so I can add another GPU or whatever I would need. I think the amount I got should be good for High quality parts.
Thanks for helping out!

What Gigabyte says about its Black Edition Motherboards?

- GIGABYTE Black Edition motherboards undergo an extra 168 hours (7 days) of stress testing before shipment to ensure premium quality for our customers.

- During the 168 hour test, each motherboard needs to pass rigorous, full system validation testing for 1 full week. GIGABYTE has built a custom testing facility at our Taiwan (Nanping) factory.

- A Certificate of Validation is included with every board, issued by the GIGABYTE factory and signed by the manufacturing VP & GM to indicate that each board has passed our highest test standards.

Why Gigabyte Motherboards?

Because they make stable, durable and performance oriented products with lowest RMAs. See the images below:

What is RMA?

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is a part of the process of returning a product in order to receive a refund, replacement, or repair during the product's warranty period.

Update:

Certainly, CL7 is better than CL9.

If you think the cost is high, can still get a pair of 8GB RAM with CL9 @1600MHz. See the video embedded below to have a better idea.

For gaming, why 1600MHz RAM is more than enough?

So you want to upgrade to a Xeon or something? I suggest you just stick with the CPU.
