Upgrade from 16GB or start with 32GB RAM?

I'm building a new CAD station from scratch. I'm wondering if it is better to start out with the max RAM with a 4-8GB set, or if it is just as well to buy a 2-8GB set and add two sticks later. If needed, I will publish my system specs.

Generally speaking you should only use a single kit of RAM in each computer, especially if it is high performance RAM.

So if you need 32GB, purchase a 32GB kit to ensure no problems or headaches.
