I am looking at motherboards at the moment, and have narrowed my search to two boards, the Asus Maximus VII hero, and the Asus Maximus VII Formula.
I feel that the formula's back plate and armour will make my NZXT H440 build cleaner and sleeker, and the addition of more fan sockets, allows me to plug all five of my fans into the Mobo without y-splitters. Other than this I see no big differences. I do not know whether I can justify the £100 extra for these items. the Hero boasts the same colour scheme, and most of the other features, but then again the metal back plate might be helpful to support the weight of the GPU I plan to install - MSI GeForce 970 4G.
I would simply like opinions on which board I should choose, and would preferably choose one of these two boards, and not another board. I understand that both these boards are other prised, but you are paying for the ROG branding and the style of the board, something I feel strongly about.
