I have a motherboard with cpu installed and 8gb of ram removed from a store bought computer and was wondering if I could use these to build a computer for myself and how reasonable it would be. It has an Intel core is 3350p with 8gb of ddr3 ram installed on the board. I only have these components and not the whole system. Would it be worthwhile to use these as building blocks for a computer or should I just toss them. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Solution
You'll need a GPU, as the 3350P doesn't include integrated graphics.

They're still pretty good components - should perform similarly to a current i5. CPUs aren't advancing as fast as they used to.
