I've seen reviews about this CPU (Some are good and some are bad). Is $165.93 for this processor (new) a good deal?

A i5 will perform about 15-20% better in games and with Intel's new release of CPUs in a few days it will likely increase the gap by another 5-10%. Now worth is very personal and I cannot make that judgement for you. Read this:

Thanks for the fast reply! The reason why I'm buying AMD is because I have 5 computers and 4 of them run AMD. I took a look at that guide and thank you for putting a lot of detail into it (I've seen several but none went that far down into detail)! I don't mind swapping from AMD to Intel considering that I can find a motherboard for a reasonable price.

ASRock Anniversary H97 or Z97 (for current gen CPUs). I was an AMD fan until they fell behind. They have not released new CPUs in years so their 8 cores equal an i3.

That would be an explanation as to why AMD's prices are so low these days. I have $318 left in my current budget and most other motherboards I saw for Intel were like $175-$300. I looked at the prices of those and that's actually a reasonable deal. I might switch my gaming computer over to Intel soon and swap over my other computers over time.
