GTX 970 Stuck on bios splash screen?

Just installed a GTX 970, on my computer and for whatever reason, when I boot up my computer it displays my motherboards bios splash screen, and stays there for about 1 minute, and then displays a black screen. It also beeps 3 times, about 15 seconds apart during this time. Trying to access the boot menu yields no results, and trying to enter the bios menu just displays "Loading..." untill the aforementioned black screen. If anyone knows a solution to this, or if this could be a problem with the card, any help would be much appreciated.

On AMI Bios three Beep codes is a RAM failure, try resetting the RAM modules.

Btw, what PSU you have?

My power supply is a Corsair CX750, which should be more then enough.

Just remove then, choose one and put it again into the first ram slot and try to boot.

If it works, just add the rest of the ram modules (in the paired banks if you only have two modules and 4 slots)

Damn. Tried it to no avail. I also updated my bios from reading this forum post, which did nothing either. Probably going to see if I can RMA this card and get another too see if that works, if there are no other solutions.

I returned the card and got a replacement, and the exact same problem persists. I also forgot to mention that the splashscreen is in a higher resolution then what I am used too, and also it is off to the side on the left. Please help! Bump.

depending on your board and its chipset age it my not support these newer cards - was a lot of z68 chipset boards that could not run these cards as a example to look at

you may look at your boards bios and see if its the latest one for it to see if that resolves or rma the card for another one or different brand that maybe more compatable with your board ?? ??

I also seen where guys had reinstalled windows and they got to working ?? all you can do I google it around and hope to find a crazy resolve that may work out ??

why reinstalling windows helped ???? some say there older psu's even 850w ones would not run the cards but bought a newer to the day replacement psu resolved ??

some say to remove the card clear cmos boot on onboard shut down reclear cmos reinstall the card and get them to work ??

these 900 cards have some crazy issues pop up and not so plug and play as things once were

Not exactly. I think junkey has the best idea, as my system was a prebuilt. If yours was as well, it may be the issue.

just to add to that prebuilt thing now , my old disclaimer on them I use to guys

some models of store bought computers [dell.hp,acer,ect..] may come with a ''locked or fixed'' bios and may not allow you to change certain hardware as a video card.. this is done to protect them from undue warranty claims and refunds .this is not done to hurt you but to protect them. you really need to see if that upgrade has been proven to work in your model first before you invest money in it .. there are a lot of these threads here at toms to look at some models will allow upgrades and some dont.. and a lot of guys here say ya ya ya when is really no no no...it would be sad you spent $200 on a card that wount post after you installed it as most find out. then get told its your psu and you spend more and end up right back where you are now, but its up to you good luck..

you got to know the the boards in these computers are not like the ones we use to do custom builds witch are open to upgrading with in the boards compatibly . the bios is custom made for there design and just for the parts they authorize to be used on there computers there only guaranteed to work as is out of the box as you bought it ,..

also these boards do not have to meet atx standards and there pci-e slot power may not do the required 75w needed for most higher end cards and can be limited to say 45 or 60w that is all thats needed with the low end factory oem cards that it may of shipped with
