Which memory for the Gigabyte X99 motherboard do I have to take?

Hello,

I've got a Gigabyte X99 gaming 7 mobo, which supports till DDR4 3200 MHz memory clock speed I believe.

Now I hear that DDR4 2400MHz is the sweetspot for X99 mob's, is this true? What speed do you advise? I'm quite lost here... ;-)
