Hey guys, so I'm buying a new motherboard, it's asus z97-p, I'm upgrading my cpu, graphics card and now I come up to buying RAM.

I mean, I have these old "Gigabyte" RAM , 2x4gb, I'm not sure if they will fit or not. I'm a bit you could call "clueless" with this stuff so, if you can just help me out here.

If the answer is no to my last question, what kind of RAM would you suggest for my upcoming motherboard? (I'm conciering buying more than 8 RAM as I had before)

What specific part of the description of RAM should I be aware of before buying it, to make sure everything will fit and work perfectly?

Thanks!

I'd prob go to the current sweet spot as far as price/performance, 2x8GB of 1866 or 2133, might look at the GSkill Snipers or Ripjaws X, both are very good with Haswell builds, or up a little to the Trident X line (my favorite on Haswell rigs ;) (in sig)

I had it in a "Gigabyte H55M-UD2H" (DDR3)

I'll be running an intel i5 4690k (overclocked up to 4.5 I think) And yeah I'm concidering 2x8gb to be the best choice.
