GPU Doesn't Screw in to Expansion Slots

So I am building my first PC, and I got all of the components installed except the GPU. I have built everything outside the case and it all works fine, but when I went to install it in the case, it doesn't screw in to the PCI expansion slot properly. Here are some pictures. Sorry for bad quality, but you can hopefully see what I'm talking about.

Moving the GPU such as supporting it or pushing it back does nothing, it still falls short of the holes on the case.

I'm wondering if this is the fault of the case, the motherboard, the GPU, or me (in other words, am I doing this wrong, or should I change something?).

My case is a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX, my motherboard is a Gigabyte B85N Phoenix-WiFi, and my GPU is an XFX R9 290 Double Dissipation Black Edition.

Thanks for any help.

Hi
Try slackening off the motherboard screws and then push the motherboard to the back of the case then retighten the screws and your GPU should fit.
Cards can sometimes not line up quite right to the case's slot holes, it's not a big deal. Push the card's bracket into alignment and hold it there while you screw in one screw a bit with your fingers until the screw can hold the card there on it's own, then finish screwing it in with a screwdriver and add the other screw.

Cheers!

So essentially, I should use a pliers or something to bend the metal thing on the GPU so that it fits? That's what I thought I should do I was just a bit nervous. Thanks for the response, please confirm what I understood, my english isn't the best :)

I have completely removed the motherboard screws and the motherboard still doesn't move at all towards the back of the case.

Hi
Normally you have to push the motherboard against the metal shield plate that surrounds the output plugs of the motherboard, this has little metal bars that act like springs, make sure none of these have bent and are stopping the board from moving back and also check for any other obstructions.
If all is clear then place the board on top of the stand offs and push the board quite hard to the rear and while holding it there against the springs fit the screws .
