Nvida display driver has stopped working and has recoverd

This happens once and awhile and not always with the error. My screen randomly goes black/random color and if im in a game i alt tab because my screen is black i can see other things but i cant tab back into my game and i have to restart it to get it to work again i can hear sound in game and do things in game i just cant see anything im tabbed in and its showing my desktop and that is when i can hear and do things in game.

Any help is appreciated.

What version of nvidia driver are you on? The latest drivers have been terrible and many people are having issues. You can either go back to an older driver or find the 353.38 hot fix driver. I've tried it and its a bit better but still kinda broken.

I had this issue until this morning, when the Windows 10 drivers came out.
These drivers were just garbage, but it's fixed now. A little frustrating, because it always happened to me in games and I though it was my crazy stable overclock suddenly becoming unstable in Far Cry 4.

I had actually read posts from a bunch of people on Reddit with the same issue and same driver version. Nvidia released a hotfix weeks ago, I just didn't notice it was an issue until 2 nights ago, then the drivers were out the morning after.
