I was made aware earlier of the free Windows 10 upgrade, so I figured I'd update my Windows 8.1 and get the upgrade. I went to the Windows Updater and checked for any updates, found quite a lot of them since I haven't updated Windows in a while. I clicked install and got stuck at downloading the updates. I ran the Microsoft's troubleshooter, tried again, and all the updates failed. Tried the troubleshooter again, same problem as before where I get stuck downloading the updates. This goes on for a while until it finally says my updates were successfully installed, but when I checked in the control panel no updates had been installed today. The only updates that show there were :

I also tried just installing one update which worked fine, but I couldn't get a second to install after it (the one I got to install was the update which included the Get Windows 10 app). Afterwards, my PC had trouble booting so I uninstalled that update after not being able to boot in Windows a couple times. I also noticed that the troubleshooter kept saying "fixing problems from installing recent updates" or something along those lines.
