I have a 1T sea gate HDD that was setup under Linus OS. Shortly after that, the server reported that drive as bad (it was fine under Windows 8.1.). After trying to delete the format under Linus, (which reported as done) I placed the HDD in an external case and connected it to my windows 8.1 PC. Drive Manager showed that drive as having three primary partitions, not initialized and no drive letter. Each time I tried to delete the partitions, or initialized the drive a CRC error pops up.
Any ideas as to how I can fix this drive so I can use it under Windows ??

Welcome, VCMorrison!

Unfortunately, that error is most probably indicating corruption of that HDD. However, in order to be absolutely sure and determine the health and SMART status, you'd need to download your hard drive manufacturer's diagnostic tool. You should be able to find it on their website.
I hope you have a back up of the data on the drive because there is a high chance you won't be able to access it.
I'd also check the warranty of the HDD and send an RMA request, if it's still covered.

Good luck! Keep me posted with the SMART data results from the tests though. :)
