So here's a couple of things I wanted to point out

1). PSU - I realize I don't have a PSU listed as I am unsure my how big a supply I need (I was reading about a semi-modular 650w that was very good but can't remember or find the one I saw); Also since this is my first build should I fork out the extra dough for a fully modular PSU to help with cable management?

2.) GPU - While i hear the 970 is great for running games now at 1080p, ultra, 60fps will this be okay for games coming up (FO4, Battlefront)? I would be willing to jump to a 980 or 980ti to better "futureproof" my PC and try my hand at 1440p or 4k

3.) I just picked random memory that looked decent (I hear its not that big a deal as long as its 1600 and 8gb total)

4.) MOBO - I liked the look of the the maximus hero, especially with the MSI GPU; I also want to try my hand in overclocking and wanted a BIOS that is user friendly and I hear ASUS has a nice BIOS for newbs like myself

5.) As for after market cooling, back when I was looking to build a PC a couple of months ago I remember the H100i being recommended quite a bit (not sure if there is something better now)

Solution
Yes I would highly recommend, getting a gtx 980ti now, and the psu I would recommend is a 850 w psu if you plan on sli, if not a 600w psu is enough :)
