Hello! I'm planning on building a pc around mid October. I'm trying to do as much research now as possible in the mean time. I have a rough build more or less but I want to save as much as possible. an sli/crossfire build might be something I pursue in the future but really looking at the gtx 970 or r9 390 for single card solutions - leaning more towards the r9. The i5 4690 is definitely something I want in the build. This is the build I came up with after doing some homework for the past six weeks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DgCWsY
Also trying to get as much market insight, seeing as prices have been fluctuating a lot - will this build drop in price substantially with new CPUs, gpus, and windows 10 coming out shortly?

My needs out of this: gaming rig that will last at least 5 years on modern games, also looking to overclock - never done it before but I plan to dabble in it, use dual gpu maybe in the future (I know psu will need an upgrade especially with Radeon card). Really want to shave a lot of the price off as well.

Any insight on cooling will also be greatly appreciated. Lastly any opinions about the case and whether or not it is beginner friendly?

So gents, opinions? Thanks in advance.

No Intel CPU prices do not drop much , even if they do. They just adjust newer series prices higher than older ones. So depreciation will not occur until next year atleast. although a better resale value and future proofness can be obtained after 5 years by going with 6th gen. GPUs are all updated so their prices will drop very slowly and mainly after a year atleast when Nvidia launches newer cards. Also if you get the r9 390, you can use a cheaper motherboard since the only difference a 100$ and 140$ motherboard has is SLI and good looks.
As far as the case is concerned , not the best beginner friendly , but one of the best looking cabinets. Installation can be assisted by youtube videos easily , which are abundant for nzxt case. That...

Cooling should be fine for now, might need upgrade when crossfiring.
Just get a Seasonic or Xfx PSU rather than corsair one. More reliable and better build quality.
