That is a picture of my memphis s motherboard, which came pre built in my hp desktop (I know, I am a huge idiot for buying a pre-build) but my concern here is that my desktop came with a single width card, but I am going to upgrade to a dual width card, but, as you can see above the pci e x16 slot, there is a motherboard heat sink, will that get in the way of the EVGA ggtx 750 ti gpu when I install it, also, that card should work in a pci e x16 1,1 slot, instead of a 3.0 with a rough 5% performance decrease right? Thanks :D

Solution
It will fit, 100% promise.

My GF's prebuilt motherboard is very similar looking and we have a gtx660ti in there no problem which is a bigger card than you are going to use.

have you ever been in this scenario? Also, will there be only about a 5% performance decerease when you put a pci e x16 3.0 slot inot a 1.1 slot?

It won't fit in the pcie x1 slot on your motherboard.

Thank you for being so straight forward, but there is no need to be so rude about it, it is my first time replacing a video card, of course I am going to be nervous and have loads of questions. DUHHHHHH:no:
