Basicly I have a sh*t GPU at the mean time and I'm going to be upgrading it soon. So should I re-install my OS for the GPU to work and for games to recognize it and all that stuff? also will be there any performance problems if i don't re-install the OS when i put the new GPU?

Solution
Here's how I would do it:

1) Uninstall the Nvidia drivers
2) Shut down and unplug the PSU
3) Install the GTX 660
4) Start up
5) Install the latest Nvidia drivers

This will insure you have the latest drivers installed.

Also, you may have to upgrade your BIOS prior depending on how old your motherboard is and the make/model.
You absolutely do not have to re-install your OS if you're just upgrading your GPU. Everything will work just fine.

You may have to uninstall your current drivers depending on the type of GPU you're putting in and install new drivers, but that's about it.

I own a GeForce 210 card and was planning to get a GTX 660 and I'm running the latest drivers of Nvidia. Does that mean I wont need to install drivers?
