Will a pcie 3.0 card work with a pcie 2.0 slot

Hi, I was thinking of buying a new graphics card for my pc(nvidia GTX750Ti) and my pc uses a pcie 2.0 slot and the GTX750Ti uses a pcie 3.0 slot. So will the graphics card will work with the pcie 2.0 slot?

that's not true. it has been shown over and over that there is no performance hit using a pcie 3 card on pcie 2. even when working with titan x type gpu's.

you won't start seeing a hit until running 2 or more cards at the slower speeds. this has been shown to start costing some fps. but a 750ti would run full speed on pcie 1.0 with no issues.
