PC rebooting at random. Is it my power supply or my graphics card or mother board?

Recently I upgraded more y GPU from an R9 270x (sapphire) to an R9 390 (XFX) and to do that I needed a new PSU, I had a corsair cx600m and now have a cx850m of the same brand.

I think it's the power supply because I had issues fitting it to the mother board, in fact, I had to get it exchanged because the first one barely fit and the light on the motherboard came on occasionally when I moved the wires (in testing it worked fine but even in the shop it couldn't be properly fitted to some of the actual motherboards they had) anyway, this new one fits a little better (the 24 pin connection) but it is still not sitting flush.

What is confusing is that the computer restarts, I would expect it to turn off if a wire came out.
I wondered if it was my drivers but they're up to date and I expect that they'd only turn the display off if they were failing.
Could it be that the power supply isn't drawing enough power? It's not plugged into the mains directly, it's a trailing socket.

FYI my mobo is an ASUS M5 A97 R2.0

I didn't have any unexpected restarts prior to the upgrade.

The restarts don't occur often (every few hours, this is about the 4th time it's done it since the upgrade yesterday)

I don't think it's overheating, it rarely gets above 40C in there.
