I have about 300 dollars from a birthday, and was thinking of using it to upgrade something in my machine. It's borderline decent at this stage, and runs most everything well but could use some suggestions of what I should upgrade, or if I should just hold off for now. I mostly use it for playing mainstream games (Witcher 3, Dying Light, etc.), and not anything intensive like video-editing.

Current setup:
CPU: Intel i5 3330 @3GHz
MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
RAM: 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600
GFX: Geforce 760 GTX

Running Windows 10 with SSDs with a good PSU so there's not much I'd want to upgrade there.

You think the bump in performance would be worth getting it now, or would it be better to wait til they drop in price? I'm also concerned that my cpu will be a bottleneck. I'm on the fence on which direction would be most practical.

I would wait if I were you since you don't have too bad of a card. You would see some performance boost, but when newer cards start dropping in price then it would be a better time to make the jump. Plus, if you're happy with how your games are playing then there is no need to upgrade at this point.
