System time is wrong

The time on my pc will not stay correct. If I set it to 6:00 and turn my pc off, wait 15 mins and turn it back on it will still say 6:00 and not 6:15. I am running Windows 8 with a Asus MAXIMUS VI FORMULA motherboard which is not even a year old. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Make sure the BIOS time is set correctly as well. I have had this happen to me before.

Sync the system clock with the Internet time. If it does not work, then reset the CMOS on the motherboard.

You might need to replace your CMOS battery, although i don't think it would go back to the last time displayed if this was the issue...Hmm.
