This is my first ever build and im looking for some help critiquing it for the best price and performance.

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
College dorm, Gaming, significant number of chrome windows at one time, streaming, lots of business application running together.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)

Solution
The i7 is overkill, even for gaming. You could save some $ by getting a new unlocked i5, and over clock it. Which is doable with your budget, you will want a Z97 Chipset Motherboard though, And a tip, any Intel CPU that has a K on the end is an Unlocked Core CPU which means it can be overclocked for more clock speed, but it requires a Motherboard with a Chipset that supports it, which the H97 Chipset does not.

This version of windows includes a free upgrade to windows 10 that i don't believe the subreddit one includes. I didn't absolutely need the mini ITX but i ended up getting it over a mid sized case because itll be in my dorm room for size and ill be moving in and out of it each semester.

That reddit doesn't contain valid license either

That was stupid for me to say anything about upgrading, what i mean is that it isnt an actual license. Mioght as well just pirate it at that point. Lets get back on topic to the thread though.
