Too many standoffs in case?

Hi all,
I just noticed something as I was about to assemble my parts- my case (Enermax Ostrog ECA3250) Has 9 pre-installed standoffs. My motherboard (ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0) Only seems to have 6 holes... Am I looking at a problem?
Thanks!

Solution
Boards that are a bit less deep than a normal ATX board tend to have these 6 standoff setups.

If they are screwed in they can be removed, but they should not touch anything since your board is only 9 inches deep. VS the 9.6 needed to use those standoffs

I recommend care when making connections on that side of the board if it is unsupported. Preinstall the memory if you can because it hangs out way over that side of the board.

You may be able to get rubber stoppers to prevent the board from bending when installing memory or plugging things in(I use cut down white eraser when I ran out of actual rubber spacers for boards.), but you should still hold the board when removing parts.

Remove the ones that don't correspond to a hole on the motherboard. They may cause issues, or short something out later.

Different sizes of motherboards require different standoffs. Make sure you remove any that fit under the motherboard and don't have corresponding holes in your motherboard. Extras beyond the edges of the motherboard can stay or go according to your preference.

Thanks, I just test-fitted it. My standoffs don't seem to screw off, but The mobo does not make contact with them when installed. Are they ok to just sit there or do they need to be covered/removed? (Sorry for the basic questions, I've never done this before.)
Thanks!

I edited above.

You have no need to remove extra standoffs, your board is 9 inches and a normal board is about 9.6 deep. Nothing will cause issues. from the standoffs.

Just take extra care when making connections to the unsupported section of board(rubber spacers under can help reduce flex when making connections).

EDIT

Check out my spacers. You could have something similar at the end, just so connecting parts does not bend the board on you.
