So as the title say my Ram usage is going ape shit, it's using regularly 5GB without anything open and 4 background programs and they are Nvidia Geforce, Audio HD, Razer Synape, and AVG Anti Virus. The pictures that's shown in the link is with the browser on, also I was having this issue with windows 7 but it was not as bad about 3Gb being used so it was ok and if i played a game it would start sky-rocketing towards 7.5GB but its worse now, is there any fix for this ?

1 GB is going for AV, so that makes 4, 1 GB goes to main Windows stuff initially, making it 3, I have Windows 7 so I have no "inside knowledge", but it very well may be simply that Windows 10 isn't finished and fully optimized, or you have an unstable build. Idk, try closing some of the high demanding ones(be careful not to close anything required)

5.8Gb isn't nuts...

I tried a new method I capped my memory limit to 8129mb and it seemed to work only avreging around 1.7-2GB when using chrome only issue is now I only have 7.5 GB usable so I need to sort this out now. As for MarkW your usage is way to high. I read some stuff and apparently the high usage comes from caches overlapping after a long period of use and it builds up in time and then it ends up using more and more everyday. When I put a cap limit it executes this issue and you no longer us up allot. I know this cause if you look at my images its showing that I'm not nearly using 1.5gb when idle and doing nothing and its says I'm using 5gb. As for the guy with with the blue screen try caping it. Go to system configuration and than go to the boot tab, click advanced options and than click maximum memory tab and than restart your PC and it might work for you.

Update: The missing ram is from the hardware reserved memory its stealing my 500MB, any idea how to change the reserved memory ?

Decades ago, when I only had 4GB to work with thanks to MS-DOS and then 32 bit Windows, I worried about every last byte that was being used in my system... This is 2015. I now have 16GB of memory, and I never have to worry about what is in memory. I use it, and I let it be used. I never run out, and I always have memory to spare.

It is so much nicer to not have to worry about things.
