If this is your PC: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113265
...you should be OK. But the HD-6450 is a pretty weak card. Of course, the PSU you chose has a pretty weak +12V rail, so maybe you better stay with a low end card. The GT 730 would be a big step up in performance, still be safe with that PSU, and be a much more modern card.

It's close. I added extra RAM for a total of 8GB DDR3, and the core is i3, not i5. otherwise everything is the same; will I still be okay?

PC Specs (probably should have listed this earlier :p): http://www.engadget.com/products/gateway/dx/4860/specs/

Thanks for your time and help!

EDIT: This specific model I linked is dual core, and I know for a fact I have a quad; I'm on my laptop so I couldnt look up the exact model, also my pricerange is 140, possibly more in the near future.

Yes, you're OK. The amount of RAM and the quad core does not change the power demand enough to be an issue. But the PSU is holding you back from going with a better card. Was your $140 budget for the card or both the card and the PSU?

At the moment, I have about $150 to spend on a new PSU and GPU.

Currently, after the insight I've gotten from you and doing a bit of research, this is what I'm planning on getting

PSU: http://www.amazon.ca/Coolmax-I-400-Power-Supply-Cooling/dp/B0081H7E4E/

GPU: http://www.amazon.ca/ASI-Corp-GT730-SL-1GD3-BRK-Graphics-Cards/dp/B00LHFRE7E/
