Hello,

I started having issues with my GPU/drivers last night, i was playing ARK Survival Evolved, when i stopped playing and closed the game, my pc crashed.

Since then, i cant get past the login screen on Windows 7 64bits, everytime i get a black screen, no cursor, ctrl+alt+delete not working neither. I tried fixing it my self, i went to safe mode and it booted normally, so i guessed it was some driver messing up. I went and used DDU (Display Driver unistaller) and i removed all the drivers for my AMD radeon HD 6850.

When i did that, i was able to get past the login screen on windows 7 on normal mode, but again, just after i install the driver back, in the next restart the issue comes back.

I have tried the lastest driver, and some older drivers (even one recommended by windows update). No luck, black screen every single time after i login (a couple times it was a blue screen rather than black).

Im not sure how to procced from here, it could be hardware related or something corrupted on my PC, not sure, im hoping for u guys to help me. Another choice i have is trying windows 10, which i should recieve in the coming days as my free upgrade, but still, getting this fixed before that would be great.

some more info on my pc:

Not an answer, but I have the exact same issues as you. I ended up using an older card that I had.. it worked for about a month before the same thing started happening to it. So I have two dead cards now. Friend suggested it might be a problem with the power supply, it's running fine with the onboard graphics tho.
