Solution
It looks really solid. I recommend getting a bigger SSD, say 200+ GB. It ensures that you have room for storage and having a bigger SSD improves reliability and lifespan.

I was planning on putting the OS on the SSD for a faster boot up time, 120 GB SSD should be good for that... I'm assuming...

How about a non-overclocking setup for your first build. You still get i7 performance out of the Xeon, and you get to really step up on the GPU...

I don't think I would need the GPU improved, I've researched that the 970 keeps you above 60 FPS in almost all games... here's my build (new PSU)
