Ram compatability issues with corsair pro 2400 ddr3 2x8gb and gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 motherboard. Amd FX 9590 processor.

I was able to install windows and boot up, but afterwards the computter froze and wouldn't boot again. I have tried several different memory settings and using 1 vs 2 sticks but haven't had any luck. Is there any way to get these to run stable without buying different ram?

With X.M.P. enabled and dram set to either 1833 or 2133 windows froze up just before log on. Do I need to mess with timing or voltage? With xmp on the only profile it runs at 1.65 ddr voltage and 11-13-13-31. I have also tried changing this to 1.5v and 9-9-9 24 but no luck

Solution
Try setting the DRAM to 2133 or 1866, should be able to enable DOCP and then set the data rate. You prob just have a CPU whose MC (memory controller) can't handle 2400, haven't seen a bunch that do they are rated up to 1866
