Hello guys,
I shouldn't be asking this since I study IT and partly work in IT, but I just wanted to hear your opinion or suggestions on where to maybe save some money, what to change and so on. So what Im thinking about my build is:

CPU:intel i7 4790k
Mobo:asrock h97 pro4
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 970
Case:Enermax Thorex ECA3321A-BT http://www.enermax.it/case/thorex/
RAM: 16GB DDR3 (2x8GB-any suggestion on brand here?)
Cooler: Cooler master 212+ EVO
PSU: Corsair VS650
1x 120GB SSD
1x 1TB HDD
some optical DVD R/RW

Solution
You can't really overclock with that motherboard. In order to overclock that CPU properly, a motherboard with a Z97 chipset is recommended.

Good brands for memory are A-Data, G.Skill, Crucial, Corsair, Kingston, Mushkin, and PNY. PNY and Team are more typically seen in budget builds but they are still both really good memory brands. Team has lifetime warranties on its memory. Best deal right now: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f31600c9d16gxm

Make sure your GPU is the G1 Gaming and not the Windforce one. The G1 Gaming is a better card.

Good PSU but a little pricey for what you are getting. I can't seem to find any stores with it in stock though so I am not sure where you are going to get one.

Great fully modular PSU...

Great fully modular PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs0550v1
Great non-modular PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9
Great Semi modular PSU with capability to SLI: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr

If you would like to SLI in the future, you will need the SLI capable PSU I suggested as well as a Z97 motherboard that supports this.

Also, for your 120GB SSD, I recommend getting the Crucial BX100 or the Samsung 850 EVO.

Yeah Im not really into OC, and i picked the 4790k over 4790 because the extra 400mhz.
Some stores here (slovakia) has the corsair VS650 in stock for around 50€/ but I'll look int your suggestions for sure:)
Is the only difference between G1 and WF GPU slightly better frequency? or am I missing something? And I will be using only 1 GPU, so Im not interested in SLI.

Yeah and thanks for the recomendation for Memories and Storage. I'll look into that too :)

The G1 Gaming is put through something called the gauntlet. Basically the G1 Gaming card's GPUs are cherry picked so that only good GPU's will be used in the G1. The G1 is also sent out with a higher clock speed and it also has a back plate whereas the WINDFORCE has none of this.
