Best way to install a OS on a just-built PC?

I'm building my first rig and for the first time in my life I have to install an OS (Windows in this case) on my own. I know the quickest way would be to put a cd with the iso in it and set boot priority to the cd drive. The problem is I'd rather not waste money for a drive, so is there a way to install Windows (was thinking about 8.1) on a clean PC without using a cd? Don't know if it might help, but I'm planning to buy a product key from key sellers like G2A, don't know if it changes the process a bit.

G2A product keys are not legal. They are mostly dev keys that are not meat for resale then sold to people like you.

DO NOT buy it. It is NOT a legit key. The ONLY way to get Windows legit is pay full price.

A bootable USB huh? I didn't know that was possible for Windows. Do I need the iso for it right? Is there a way to get a Win8's official ISO (I'm not saying a key or something, just the iso itself. I can't find anything on Microsoft's site for some reason, only stuff to upgrade directly from my current PC)?

@tiny voices I knew they just bought them in bulk? I heard plenty of people use them with no issues

I found another one that creates a live usb directly.
http://windows.microsoft.com/it-it/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
The isos it can download are 8.1, 8.1 N, 8.1 Pro, 8.1 Pro N. I thought I couldn't install 8.1 without installing 8 before that? Am I wrong?
Also I don't need to have 8 running on my current PC to use any of those tools right?

And I don't remember that discussion tiny, sorry about that.

.. It's the official windows one, I even linked it.
The one the other user linked had a lenghtier process, basically download the iso and then use another tool to make a live usb, the italian one dowloads the iso and makes the live usb at the same time.

Oh crap I'm dumb, I skimmed it quickly because I had to go out and thought it required a middleman software. Thanks.
So I don't need to install regular 8 beforehand and I can just download the 8.1 iso right?

You're probably gonna hate me but..
Can you please link me where to buy W10 from? Every Microsoft related I've found only talks about the free upgrade, not the proper listing price. Maybe it's because I'm from mobile and it gets thrice as long.
Thinking about it, don't I get the same results by installing 8.1 and then doing the free upgrade?

Well it shouldn't case any problem if I choose the clean install right?
Anyway I'm not too hot about 10 in the first place, so for now I'll settle on 8. After all there is the free update to 10 for another year right?
Do I need 8's iso beforehand or can I just use 8.1? I wasn't even aware there was a 8.1iso, I thought it was just an update.

I don't approve with how Microsoft handles personal data (but I'm not a tinfoil hat conspirationist and I don't believe they want to sell my personal information to CIA like many seem to do, so no big deal), how some features have ads unless you pay a fee (for now it's "just" Solitaire, but who knows how many others they'll pull off with the excuse Win10 is free?) and I play retro games regularly and every new OS there are some compatibility problems with them. It just got released, no big deal in waiting a bit they iron out these details.

Thanks, I'll settle with 8.1 for now.
