I currently have a 1TB hard drive with windows 7 installed. I am looking at getting an SSD but unsure if this method would work for the upgrade. If I got the SSD and installed into the pc and then went onto windows 10 upgrader and selected fresh install onto SSD, would this work? As the current Hard drive would still have windows 7 on it?

If this will not work, what is a possible workaround as I have an OEM version of Windows 7 and dont know if I would need to re buy a key.

Thanks

Solution
You do not need to buy a key!
1.Clone Win 7 to SSD.
2.Disconnect old Hdd
3.Boot from SSD and Upgrade to Win 10
4. Zero bucks spent for Win 10.
