I bought a new drive and have migrated most of my files over to it, after having run an initial disk check.

Now today I took a look at the S.M.A.R.T page in HDtune and things don't seem to be that great. I would appreciate others takes on the state of this new drive.

Also what are my options? will I have to wait for a total disk failure before I can exchange it under warranty?

Hi there glendorf,

You can do something simple as just attaching the drive to a different port with different cables(SATA and power). After that, you can just retest it. Testing the drive with a brand specific testing tool will not hurt as well.
In case you get similar results, I would advise you to contact the manufactuer's Support and see what they will tell you.
