** This is 2 Builds one for a Home Server and the other will be my new design and gaming system.**

Approximate Purchase Date: 5+ months

Budget Range: 1500 for PC
800 for the server

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Graphic Design, Gaming, Video Editing, Blu Ray Watching

Are you buying a monitor: Yes - 2 one 27" main display and one 24" secondary display

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com, Amazon.com, Microcenter

Location: Cincinnati OH

Parts Preferences: Intel, Corsair, Nvidia

Overclocking: No but

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1440p

Additional Comments: Server will need ECC memory, I would like a monitor with high color accuracy, I will only be doing light video editing so maybe an i5 will work?
I also want recommendations on a new mechanical keyboard and mouse, They don't have to be included in the budget but if you can work them in that would be really awesome :). I do want an aftermarket Liquid CPU cooler to keep the system quiet

I need a reliable file server to backup my design work and to stream media via plex, My gaming laptop is starting to show its age and I want a new desktop.

I was thinking about the WD EX4 because it is a 4 bay NAS that can be set uo in RAID 10 and run plex, I don't need the transcoding ability because I am thinking if I save mony with the EX4 then I can then build a decent HTPC for around 400, the HTPC would just need to stream Netflix, Hulu Plus and Plex in 1080p full HD
