I updated my PC to windows 10 and the screen went black during the update so I removed my GPU and plugged the cable into the onboard video. once windows 10 installed I tried putting my gpu back into my computer and it just has a black screen.

ive tried disabling the onboard graphics drivers I've tried changing the PCIE settings in BIOS and a few other things but none of it will work. also, the graphics card does power on when it is plugged in, but nothing is appearing on the monitor.

any help would be appreciated

I had installed the newest drivers before I upgraded to windows 10, but since it upgraded the screen is black.

It did work for a few minutes earlier but then the screen went black again before I could do anything

Boot into save mode using integrated graphic. Then uninstall nvidia driver from there. You can also use DDU to do driver wipe out instead of using the usual uninstall process from control panel. Turn off you PC then insert you card. Now when you able to log in into windows let windows update do the update instead of manually installing your driver. If you want GFE stuff download the stand alone package directly from nvidia. But for now disable GFE auto updates for nvidia driver because right now GFE is conflicting with win10 update service
