So I got a new evga 980ti, it has 1 dvi output, 3 display ports and 1 hdmi.

I have three 120hz monitors with only one hdmi and one dvi input.

To get 120hz on my monitors I have to use the dvi input on the monitors (hdmi only supports 60hz).

I need another opinion on what what I should do, as I tried buying two inexpensive active adapters from monoprice ($15 each) but the screen is fuzzy at 120hz. I contacted monoprice and they advised all their active adapters only support 60hz.. So I'm returning these adapters.

Question is, I am now faced with a dilemma and these are my options:

Option 1: Sell my 3 monitors (120hz, 5ms), might be lucky to get $400 for them. Buy three new 144hz, 1ms monitors that have display port inputs - I like the look of an LG one would run me about 650 bucks refurb for all 3 ($250 net cost If I can sell my existing monitors for $400).

Option 2: Return my Evga SC+ 980ti that I got for $600. Would have to pay $15 shipping to return. Buy the Gigabyte 980Ti which has 2 dvi outputs, gigabyte 980 ti isn't on sale and costs $80 more with lower clock speed.. And I would eventually have to buy another card to sli, so I would have enough DVIs for my monitors. I always sli eventually, but net cost of this upgrade for both cards would be about $160.

Option 3: buy a display port adapter that supposedly supports 120hz (around $100 each) would cost me $200 for two crappy adapters.

Option 4: buy a single 1440p/144mhz/gsync monitor instead of 3 inferior. Go back to single monitor gaming, net cost about $300 if I sell my monitors.

I'm leaning towards buying new monitors, but damn, I really don't want to.

Solution
Option 6.
Buy a 4k monitor that attaches via displayport.
You should be able to game at 60fps.
Keep two current monitors as side monitors. Keep the third old monitor as a spare or for other use.
