As it stands right now i do not have a graphics card and it is really hindering my performance. and well if i can buy it now then i won't need to wait that long but my current computer spec are

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k
GPU: Intel HD 4600
MOBO: MSI z97 gaming 7
SSD/HHD: 2 Samsung 840 evo raid 0/ 2 WD blue 1tb raid 1
Case: NZXT Noctis 450
PSU: corsair ax860i

i have an ok system but without a graphics card its really sucks so anything that can do rendring and streaming will do but wont break the bank and im only doing 1080p gaming if that helps

here is a good deal on a 290 24 after MIR

But if this is truly a stop gap, save your money

Here is a 280x for 179 after MIR

Despite not being a super high end card anymore it really is no joke.

There are several gtx 970 for under 300 but that is before tax and shipping.
I feel compelled to mention that the 970 isn't exactly what I consider a stop gap, it's a high end card.

here is the anand comparison of the 280x and the 970, for me it seems very close considering the 120 dollar price gap between them...

Final comment, as a stop gap there really is no beating a 280x for $179
