ey guys, more of a casual question here. I was thinking it may be time to upgrade my PC, which currently struggles to run GTAV above 40fps with very low settings.

Here are my specs:

Motherboard: Asus Z97-A

CPU: Intel i5 4570 3.2GHz (Intel heatsink - should I upgrade?)

RAM: 1x8gb Corsair XMS3 12600mhz

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 2GB

PSU: Corsair RM 650

Cooling: 3 Case Fans + CPU fan and GPU fans.

I've also got an SSD to boot from, with a secondary HDD for storage.

What do you think would be the best component to upgrade?

Thanks for your help.

That is a pretty strong build. If it is struggling to run GTA 5 at low settings, something else is likely causing the problem (trying to run at 4K will definitely lower FPS). Maybe try a clean install of whatever OS you are using. Or try updating your Nvidia Drivers. In terms of upgrading, I would get low-latency dual channel RAM for $56 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231536) and get a Hyper 212 Evo cooler for $35.

I recently installed windows 10 which covers the fresh install and new drivers... Would you say Corsair RAM is just as good an upgrade as the G.Skill? [http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233180&cm_re=Vangeance_8gb-_-20-233-180-_-Product] I see no difference.. Also would 2400mhz RAM be faster?

Is the new fan necessary? I don't think I'm having trouble with Temps.

Thanks for your reply!

GTA is being stupid and not running atm so I can't check, I wouldn't say that I get high Temps when running games..

The Corsair RAM should be fine, and if you have <80c temperature while gaming, keep the Intel heatsink
