Do the latest Asus HD7970 drivers support 10 monitors?

I tried to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Windows 10 only finds 9 of the 10 monitors that all work fine with Windows 7. I have two Asus HD7970 video cards with 10 Samsung SyncMaster 930b monitors. I tried the latest AMD drivers.

I am back on Windows 7 with the drivers that came with the video cards.

Note: I tried the latest AMD drivers on Windows 7. It only finds the same 9 monitors?

I have asked AMD support about this. No reply so far.

Roll back to previews drivers if they detected all 10 monitors

I used a disk image to go back to Windows 7 for now. If it was easier, I would try Windows 10 again and try to install the drivers on the CD that came with the video cards. Would it let me install older drivers?

The Windows 10 upgrade did not like my Windows 7 customizations, so it forced a clean install. I think it defaulted to recent (but not the latest) drivers. It did let me install the latest drivers from AMD. Neither worked.

Another Windows 10 try would require.
1. Copy Windows 7 C drive to a usb image.
2. Copy Windows 10 image to the C drive.
3. Install the old drivers?
4. Copy Windows 7 image back to the C drive.

I will wait for a response from AMD support.

Yes, you can install other drivers but whyto use q0 monitors???
Anyway also how did you connect 10monitors on one gpu with hubs?

Amd support i hope you mean directly to them (ticket) right?

I got hooked on multiple monitors about 20 years ago developing software. While using an application, I frequently need to refer to other application screens. Switching back and forth on 1 or 2 screens was too painful. 10 years ago I had 6 CRTs on my desk at work. And 4 at home. It is much easier now with flat screens.

I have 2 video cards (Asus HD7970). Each one supports 6 monitors (4 display ports and 2 DVI ports).

I submitted an AMD support ticket 3 days ago. I will submit another one today and hope they wake up.

Yes hope they wake up.. They are dreaming that they are better than nvidia but i hope they ll wake up
