Hey, I got a virus on my desktop and had to reformat my ssd. When I try to reinstall windows from a usb the only options I'm given are too troubleshoot or shut down. I've used a few programs to put the win 8.1 iso on a usb but none seem to give me an option to install win 8.1. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Or is it just a problem with the iso file I have?

When you need help be more specified, Computer model, which programs you did use. etc etc. etc.
I recommend use rufus to make a USB stick bootable. Check if you computer has a UEFI Bios. This is necessary in Rufus
