All right so, I posted a thread before saying I was getting the A2 startup error and my PC won't boot. Did some research and someone answered and I came to the conclusion it was probably a failed HDD. So I went out and physically installed a fresh new hard drive, no OS installed or anything. Go to boot it up, same error. At this point, I have a Windows 7 64bit bootable flash drive in my motherboard USB slot. I've also checked and swapped around all of my SATA cables, including my PSU ones.OK, so I start testing the ram like I did before, same error. Then I remembered this board has dual BIOS. Shut it down, still only has one ram stick in, flipped to BIOS B, boot it up, I get my MPower logo screen and Windows 7 boots up (when this happens, my computer doesn't do a POST beep, should it?) All right so I shut it down, swap out my ram sticks, try the same process, same result. Windows 7 boots fine. Shut it down, install the other ram stick, turn it on, Windows 7 boots up. Ok, so it's not my ram. Try booting from BIOS A, still nothing. Boot from BIOS B again, Windows 7 boots up.

All right, so now I'm looking at a corrupted BIOS...maybe? I've never dealt with anything like this and I'm not sure what did it. Question is: is BIOS B fine to use as your normal BIOS or is it some special BIOS only used for fixing problems? I have a semi decent knowledge of computer building, but when it comes to BIOS I'm at a total loss. Also, how do I go about fixing BIOS A? Better question, is it necessary? Is this not why this board has dual BIOS options?

I'm really at a loss here. I'm hoping I've narrowed down the issue, but if I'm wrong, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated regarding what I should do next.

Intel i5 3570K
MSI MPower Z77
Western Digital Black 1TB (nothing installed, totally clean. not even formatted)
2x4GB Corsair Vengeance low profile 1600MHz
EVGA 770 GTX 2GB SC
EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W
H80i water cooler

ASUS PCE-N15 wifi card

Thank you so very much

Bump? Since posting this, I am now getting the A2 error on both BIOS A and B. I'm not sure what happened to cause it. Should i begin the RMA process for my motherboard or can something else be done that I'm missing?

I ended up RMA'ing and they sent it back saying it was fin (not true. So I had to buy a new motherboard. I will say, right after this BIOS B ended up getting corrupted
