Will GTX 980 work with CM Silent Pro 1000W PSU?

The Asus GTX 980 requires 4 6-pins cables to be plugged into the PSU but my PSU has only 3 slots, what does that mean?

Do I need to change/upgrade my PSU or will it work?

You are absolutely fine, however 1000W is a crazy overkill.

Check out the PSU requirements in the bottom right of this reply.

For Single GPU's:
Don't worry, any Tier 1 or Tier 2 PSU will have absolutely no issue with any of the cables, wattage or amps as long as the wattage requirement is met.

So from what I understand, plugin only 3 6-pins in the PSU will do the trick.

Now all I have to do is find the right cables. I'm missing my PSU's cables and the GPU didn't come with any.
Do they sell these cables by themselves or do they strictly come with PSUs?

You only need two 6 pin connectors.

All cables will come with PSU or GPU.

Do you currently have the GPU and PSU?

I suggest you don't worry about it, when you get it the cables and where you should plug it in is very obvious and it will take you less than a minute to realize which cables plug on the GPU. All cables will come with the PSU and some with the GPU.

I got both the PSU and GPU but I have no spare cables for the PSU and nothing came with the GPU (the 2 cables that came with it are short and useless, they didn't fit into the PSU)

So I'm left with 1 option, buy new PSU cables.
Can I buy those or do they strictly come with PSUs?

I think you should restart a thread on that specific question, i personally have never experience having any issues with the cables being unavailable. They always come with the PSU or GPU.
