Recently I created a thread asking information to do with getting a new graphics cards. A kind individual pointed out an issue where there were no slots on the particular motherboard for a graphics card. I am now thinking of getting a new motherboard and placing the original CPU and RAM onto the new motherboard.
What I need to know is: What motherboard should I get for the USFF (Ultra Small Form Factor) model of my DELL Optiplex GX620 and whether it is possible to put my current RAM and current CPU onto the new motherboard? As well as this, does the motherboard have to be a DELL motherboard or can it be any brand of motherboard?

My specs:
CPU : Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.4ghz
RAM : 4GB DDR2
Graphics : intel 82945G intergrated <--- not relevant for this thread

Thank you

and old pentium 4 is not anything you want to invest any money in. it can barely run facebook and adding in a graphics card will not change a thing. There just isnt enough processing power unless you were building an old retro arcade box or win95/98 game station.

Thank you very much for your reply. However I am not looking to turn my PC into a hardcore / strong gaming PC. I just want to do some mild gaming. Specifically games from 2007 - 2009 and possibly more modern games at very very low settings however I will not try to run modern games e.g. Battlefield 4, newer titles of COD. I am thinking to balance the graphics card to the CPU. To match my Intel Pentium 4 I am thinking for going for the GPU of a ATi Radeon HD 4550.

What do you think of that?

You have BTX form factor chassis, all current motherboards are ATX form factor, so no upgrades are possible. Only Dell motherboards will fit there, and they will have the same problem - no video card upgrade possibility.
