I'm a high school student and I'm really getting into 3d and 2d animation but my computer sucks and I'm looking to build a new one I have know idea what I need but I know that I want something for around $1000 for now I want to be able to upgrade it in the future without having to restart and build an all new computer again.

Solution
For blender use a gaming card instead of a workstation.
It can be upgraded but the processor and memory should be good for quite a while, by the time you need to upgrade the processor newer stuff will be out and would make more since to start over. You can always add another set of memory in the future if you need to.
I upped the power supply to handle a higher end video card in the future, but the GTX 960 4GB version will be a good start.
Goes a bit over budget but you should like the performance.

EDITED build the price on that motherboard went up 50 bucks. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pQKzrH

If your not going to be gaming this would be a very good start. The first upgrade would be a better video card (the workstation cards are very expensive)
It gives you a good base system with a usable video card. E3-1241 V3 processor, solid motherboard, 16GB of memory, quality power supply.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gmHHFT I changed some of the merchants to get the real prices of the PC including shipping.
If you are going to be gaming then some programs support gaming cards that would be something you need to research with the specific programs your going to be using.
