PC turning off after i7 upgrade

ve just upgraded my i3 to i7 on this motherboard: http://www.ballicom.co.uk/h61mp31w8-msi-h61mp31w8--moth...

When i ht the power switch, the computer will boot for about 10 seconds (without displaying anything on the screen) and then will switch off suddenly, before again rebooting. I have properly applied the heatsink...
Any help is appreciated thanks so much

Sorry 404 error on your link, but if your motherboard is older it may not support whatever the new CPU you have. I installed a devils canyon in my older board and it did the same thing, had to upgrade the BIOS then install the CPU. Without the motherboard link, and the i7 you have its hard to give any advice.
