Wireless Mouse keeps turning off

I have the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 3000, I have had it for quite a while now. I started using it again recently after not using it for a while. I put in a fresh set of batteries and the mouse turns on. I use it for a few seconds then it just turns off. It will not turn back on until i press the reset switch. I have tries with multiple new batteries and the problem keeps happening. Any Ideas?

While you were not using it, it might have been bashed around a little bit and a couple of circuits might have fallen out of place? Try and bring it back to wherever you got it from and see if they will swap it or sort it out for you. Sorry I couldn't halp much but I hope it's usefulin anyway possible,
