I've been reading about the processor modes, quite interesting. I wonder if CMD.exe in modern versions of Windows such as Windows 8 or Windows 10 run in virtual real mode.
From what I understand, CMD.exe would run in windows default processor mode(Protected). However, DOS ran in virtual real mode. But I would assume cmd.exe runs as a normal application, in protected mode.
